He’s the sole fighter in history to begin his career as a light middleweight (154 pounds) and go to win a heavyweight title. As an amateur, he stopped his career using a 121-13 record.

Roy Levesta Jones, Jr. was born in Pensacola, Florida in January 1969. He won the 1984 United States National Junior Olympics as well as the 1986 and 1987 United States National Gold Gloves as an amateur. He also won a silver medal in the 1988 Seoul Olympic matches. He’d won the IBF Middleweight Title in 1993 beating Bernard Hopkins. Jones is the sole fighter that’s started out as a light middleweight and went to win a heavyweight title. The Boxing Writers Association of America named Jones the Boxer of the Decade for the 1990s. His rap record Round One: The Album was launched in 2001. In 2004 his group Body Head Bangerz released an album. He’s also appeared in two movies for the Matrix franchise.
