Since 1994, Nas has released eight successive platinum and multi-platinum albums and sold over 25 million records world-wide. Regardless of rapping and playing, Nas is an entrepreneur through his own record label, retail sneaker shop, and magazine publishing. He serves as Mass Appeal Magazine’s associate publisher including an owner of a Fila sneaker shop. He’s now signed to Def Jam Recordings

His musical career started in 1991 when he was featured on Main Source’s track “Live at the Barbeque”. His debut record “Illmatic”, released in 1994, received worldwide acclaim from both critics as well as the hip hop community. It’s often ranked as among the best hip hop albums ever.

From 2001 to 2005, Nas was involved with an extremely publicized feud with rapper Jay-Z. In 2006, Nas signed to Def Jam. His eleventh studio album, “Life Is Good” premiered in 2012. Nas is regularly named as among the best hip hop artists. In the year 2012, “The Source” rated him No. 2 on their list of the “Top 50 Lyricists of All Time”.
