Marco Antonio Muiz (created September 16, 1968), better known by his stage name as Marc Anthony, is an American performer, record producer, singer songwriter, fashion designer, and television producer. Anthony can also be the top selling tropical salsa artist ever. The two time Grammy and four-time Latin Grammy winner has sold more than 12 million records globally. He’s famous for his Latin salsa numbers and ballads. Anthony has won numerous awards, and his accomplishments are honored through various recognitions. He was the receiver of the 2009 Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Chair’s Award.

Anthony later recorded the duet “No Me Ames” with Jennifer Lopez on her album On the 6, giving her an aid in her Spanish language crossover effort. His tune “You Sang To Me” was featured in Runaway Bride. The record debuted at number eight on the Billboard album chart, and six weeks afterwards went platinum; it eventually was certified triple platinum. In 2001, he debuted another salsa record, Libre, which was certified gold with tunes like “Celos”, “Este Loco Que Te Mira”, and “Viviendo”. The record spent 14 weeks in the number one spot on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. The year after that, he made another English language record, Mended. In June 2004, Anthony released a Latin pop record, Amar Sin Mentiras. The following month, he reintroduced its songs with a danceable salsa beat in another record, Valio La Pena. The tune “Escapmonos” was a duet with Jennifer Lopez. Lopez and Anthony performed “Escapmonos” at the 2005 Grammy Awards. On July 11, 2006, Anthony released Sigo Siendo Yo, a Spanish greatest hits record. On May 2010 he released Iconos, a homage to old Latin tunes by musicians like Jos Luis Perales, Juan Gabriel and Jos Jos. In the year 2012, he released a brand new tune called “Cautivo De Este Amor”.
